looking for help identifying this piece 2004

i have a 2004 4runner sport and the engine is a vvt-i v6, i noticed this connector was missing and it was there a few months ago it had ether 1 or 2 wires coming from it and it clipped into the circled red area shown in the photos

it is right next to the fill port for the oil

any help for what it is or what it does would be helpful

I honestly have no idea what it is, but I can confirm it's not connected and seemingly not an issue on my 05 v6.

You're probably good to just leave it.

It's a wire harness connector, to keep your wires from going spaghetti around the engine compartment.

As mentioned, it just holds that cable bundle in place. If you look in the center, you'll see it goes over a threaded stud so it doesn't move.
