Looking For Inside Rear Trim Pieces

I'm restoring my 84 and its a DD. I noticed I was missing these four interior trim pieces after purchasing it, which are the interior pieces of trim for the removable tops. Looks to be a common thing, since a number of 1st gens in the area don't have them, at least that's what I'm finding out when I ask. A set went on ebay for almost $300. Seems a little steep, but I'm really interested in the set to help complete interior restoration, and I would consider over $100 and more considering condition. Does anyone hear know where I can find a set? Would you be interested in selling yours? Thanks!

There's a reason they're expensive. They're rare and hard to come by.

just my 2c.. but seriously ..

restoring a vehicle costs money !! We (my company) have considered re-popping these pieces , as well as the rear 1/4r inner panels , but people just dont wanaan pay !!

i'm sure it's because its a toyota , and not a mustang or camero .. but all-in-all , it's still costs money to manufacture parts , and age does not determine price .

i will be going to pull some parts tommorow night off of a couple of runners a guy is parting ill look and see if he has them and let you know.

It's not that people don't want to pay. It's just that most people don't buy a 1st gen 4runner with the intent of restoring it like they would a camaro or a mustang. Look at most of the 4runners you see on craigslist or ebay... ratty and mistreated.

I don't mean to belittle what you do so please don't take me wrong. I think you make some excellent products, I wish I had your skills. Most people who want to restore an older 4runner already have some sheet metal or fiberglass experience and can build some of this stuff themselves. I may be talking out of my rear end here but it's my take on it.

no offence taken .. and no worries , but this is EXACTLY , why you dont find any interior aftermarket pieces for toyota 4Runners or trucks

I looked at several first gens before buying my 88. I didn't see molding on any of the the runners I looked at. When looking at my 88, I was shocked to see all the panels and molding in place, and in great condition.
