Currently have discover cooper st maxx but E RATED. Which I personally think it’s way to much for the 4runner. I used to have general grabbers at2 load D 285/75/16. Amazing tires. I loved them. So I want to go back to general tire. But I cannot seem to find AT2 anywhere. Let alone in 285/75/16 Load D. Anyone have any suggestions? I off road in mud, soft sand, water, snow. So all types of terrains. Need something reliable. I was looking into Nitto grappler but a lot of people say they aren’t good in snow or rain.
Looking for new tires. ( no more general at2?)

Yea the general at2s are discontinued. I believe they announced it publicly last year. All stores were pretty much just getting rid of their stock. You can still find them from smaller companies, but the markup is ridiculous.
I decided to try out and bought me some Duratracs. I came from nitto grapplers and I must say, that I prefer my duratracs. I've only had them a few months and went offroading one time since, but they have grown on me.

Look at Grabber A/TX
I've had 2 sets of the A/T2's on my old RAV4 and have been quite happy with them for general use. It appears that the NEW A/TX is very similar to the OLD A/T2.
I've had a set of General Grabber X3's on my 98 4Runner for a year (C load rated 265 75 16). I am VERY well pleased with them. They are quiet on the highway for a MUD tire and go absolutely everywhere! They are wearing well too. :guitar2:

I haven't had any issues on wet roads. In KY we have had a lot of WET this year.
Not as good as a tire designed for water evacuation BUT considering it is optimized for OFF ROAD. They dp have sipes cut into the tread so that helps some.
Original NEW tread depth says 18mm on site. I still have 1/2" of tread after 15,000 road miles. My first set of these, but for this tire I would say wear is good.
The AT2's lasted more than 60,000. I expect to get 40,000 from these.

I am having the issue with my 2015 4Runner. I already study on other forums that people who have had this difficulty got rid of the factory rims and the shimmy went away as well, and some of them had also gone through 2-3 sets of tires like you, before fitting the problem with new rims.
Are these likely to have any luck with snow? Looking for an all around capable tire that can get me anywhere at any time!

The General X3's are NOT 3 snowflake rated. They have been good in the light KY snows I experience.
I would also expect they would dig well thru really deep snow. I doubt they would perform as well as a tire
that is rated for snow. My experience so far is good.
