Looking for some SAS insight

So, Ive been thinking about it, And have half a plan. I want the v8 swap. Im gonna use the 350 carb I have. And was thinking of getting a toy gear case and adapt it onto the th400. Still a bit undecided on axles. Im probably gonna use the 44s I have now, swap in with springs. Get wheeling. Save up and link 60s in later. ( if there is a later haha) I want this thing to be a beast, and probably gonna take it to mud drags some day ..... some day....

why not?

350sbc, thb400 and d44 axles out of the blazer that I have.

they are already running behind that engine, in a heavier rig, and that's the stock configuration.

I agree 1 tons are better, especially witht he added stress of larger tires, and traction aides, but ive been running Toyota running gear and a v8 for a lot of years. after upgrading the birfields I haven't had any issues.

Yea, like nevada had said, its all a stock powertrain, other then swapping in a toy gear tcase, which I would think would be stronger then the 203 chain that I have. hands down tons are better. but.... i already have these parts. I probably wont be doing anything to motor this summer. so, Should only be left with the over sized tires to cause much issue.
Had a look on the net, and 4r is approx 6-7 hundred lbs lighter then the blazer. so thats a bit of a bonus.
