Looking to convert to the Church of 1st Gen price check

Hi guys,

Im usually lurking on the 3rd gen boards but I've had a thing for the 1st gen front end style since Back to the Future.

I found this on craigslist and was wondering if i could get your general feeling on the price. I realize it isnt a ton of info to go on but any thoughts would be appreciated.

1988 4runner EFI, 4x4, with removable top, manual 5 speed transmission

new items:

5-tires
5-wheels
battery
old man emu shocks, springs, torsion bars
complete brake job
ac compressor
ac condenser
water pump
timing chain, guides, and sprockets

Engine:

22re, recently installed from a 1993 tacoma with less than 100K miles
(vehicle itself has 275K miles)

This is a project that i just don't have time for. It runs and drives. Is tagged and inspected. Can be used as a daily driver but still needs a lot of work to be complete

On the west coast that would bring $4000 easy

Add $800 to that for the OME stuff and $600 for new tires and it's worth $5-6k if it has a nice interior. Make sure it's not rusty underneath. You can look on eBay "completed listings" for 84-89 4Runners and see some comparables. Prices are rising on clean ones but Texas does seem to have a nice supply of them. What's it worth to you?
