Looking to get a 4Runner

Like title says, looking to get a 4Runner! I'm getting married and having a kid this month so it's time to get a family vehicle (anything not a minivan..)
Just wanted to jump on here and see what you guys had to say, pros and cons to these trucks. What to look for when buying. Which model is the best. Etc etc. I'm coming from a nissan titan. Love the truck, just need something the wife and I can drive. My truck was lifted with 35" tires. I like off-roading and all that outdoors stuff. If that makes a difference with a model.
I would love the new trd pro 4Runner, but it's out of my price range. I'm looking to go used and with the newest look.
Thanks guys! Sorry for the long intro.

Welcome to the forum buddy!

My Dad actually has a Titan too, awesome truck, although I like my 4Runner better haha...
From reading your post, I'd say take a look at a Trail Edition. It's something my dad has considered numerous times but hasn't wanted to get rid of the Titan just yet... Tough choice, are you getting rid of your Titan or purchasing a 2nd vehicle?

Hey sorry for the late reply. Just had a baby a week ago! That is the reason for my change. I figured if I have to get rid of my truck for a family car, it better be a cool replacement! Haha. I'd love to keep my truck, but it's kinda expensive, impractical and gas is horrible. About $100 a week. Trail edition? I will look into it! Don't think I've ever even seen one around even.

They had a single trail edition at my dealership in gorgeous Nautical Blue when I went to look at this 2014 Quicksand FJ...I fell in love. Even a stripped 4x4 has a lot of nice options at a good price.

i didnt know this till i started looking into the 4th generation 4 runners 2003 to 2009 last year. there was a v8 option available. all other generations had a v6.
