Looking to get a lift.

Hey guys, I'm new here and I've had my 2004 4Runner Limited for 4 years and its been great. I'm looking to get it lifted a bit and I've got some questions.

I'm leaning towards getting spacers, something like 2.5" in the front and 1.5" in the back to even it out. I see a lot of you have the Cornfed or the Daystar lifts. My brother had the Truxxx spacers for his FJ and he was happy with it. I'm just wondering what brand to go for. The biggest issue is that I have the XREAS suspension, and I'd prefer to keep that working. So it needs to work with it.

I'm looking to keep things simple. I'm not doing any crazy off roading, mainly hunting and camping.

I'm also going get some new tires. Leaning towards the BGF All Terrains. So I'm also wondering what size I can fit with the lift kit. Haven't decided on wheels yet but it'll be 17"s. I may just keep the stock wheels for now.

Welcome to T4R. well for the tires, if you dont wan't to trim the inner fenders or take off your mudflaps you should go smaller than a 285/70/17 (33") like probably 265/70/17 which is the same size as stock. if you do decide to go with the 285's you will deffinately need the lift. a 2.5/1.5 lift should be able to handle 285's but im not possitive. i know that cornfed makes great spacers from what people have said. here's a link to where a lot of other members have gotten there spacers, http://www.burtmanindustries.com/zoomprod.php?id=4run_03_up_liftkit hope this helps, good luck!

im running 265/70/17 with my front raised 2in. & still needed to trim a tiny bit on the bumper & move the plastic inner fender forward but thats because im running a wider rim with different offset instead of wheel spacers. id say that either of the spacers you stated will be fine but id stay at 265/70/17 or maybe 275 (32) at the most. you might not have to trim if you use the stock wheels, but either way, moving the fender forward instead of cutting it & trimming is very easy, if done right, wont even be noticed. let us know how it works out.

I have the Daystar 2.5" lift kit on my 2004 4 Runner with XREAS - no problems.

Thanks for the replys. So I think I'll be going with the daystar kit with a 275/70/17.

pretty sure the toytec all spacer lift is compatible with xreas but its 3inches thats what i got
