Looking to purchase this '85

Great news on the dash, even the wrecked parts runner i bought had a cracked dash. The seat pics LOOK like the back seat bkrest is brown/dark tan and the bottom is either a dark green or an odd charcoal, vinyl in the back, tan cloth in the front....and i'm more asking than stating.....sometimes an upholsterer will go over the original back seat and just make a rugged vinyl back seat cover to preserve the original back seats and put something tough on to transit pets and kids and such. When u get a quote ( i'm guessing you're gonna get a quote for both front seats, as that cloth's probably original and not available any more ) post what the quote is and what they're gonna do/use...just curious what others prices are as that's what i do for a living.....if you get both buckets done for less than $500 as long as they tend to any driver's foam wear ( normal on every vehicle ) and show you a nice durable piece of fabric they're gonna use, you won't be over paying. $400 for both would be a great price, fyi.

He is certainly justified asking 8k. It has all the right stuff, right parts, and good condition.

You will probably kick yourself later if you dont take it. As it has been said before, if you buy a lesser 4runner and begin putting money into it you will spend over 8k. Not to mention the cost of overhaul - which will happen. Shit will be broken. At least with this 4runner you know it was a labor of love, it has all the good stuff on it, prob mechanically sound.

Ah I've seen this rig on the middle/east TN FB page. That thing is sweet. I too am in the market for a 1st gen. Lucky you got it. I've been looking for a month now with nothing as nice as that popping up.
