Loose side mirror base?

Anyone have this problem? I folded the mirror inward and heard a pop. Now the mirror swings freely inward and outward. It also has some up and down play to it now. I've got it taped in place so I can drive it but I'm hoping this is an easy fix.

Yes very easy, I just tightened up mine this week. Pop the tweeter cover off by pulling straight forward. Then there are three bolts visible that just need to be tightened up. Best of luck.

Not that! I actually did that right before though. It's loose where it swings to fold. Now it swings backwards and forwards freely.

Pop the mirror out by removing the Philips bolt located at the bottom of the mirror. See through the hole located at the bottom of the housing to see the bolt. Once you remove the bolt, lift the mirror (glass) straight up to unlatch it from the two hooks it is hanging. The mirror and the mechanism should come out now.

Next, tighten the nut located at the housing hinge. It is spring loaded.
