Losing cv axle grease from inner boot seel

I lifted the truck about 3" all around with all icon products about 3,000 miles ago. And recently noticed I'm losing some cv grease. The angles are not bad at all and the boots seem to be in good shape no ripes or tares in them. I pinpointed that the grease is seeping out of the inner boot on the outside seel area.

I have search a ton but mostly just come up with info on replacing boots and re packing or buying new cv's. I'd like to know how I can tighten this down so I can keep what I have without replacing anything.

Has anyone else had this same problem after living their 4th gen?

No need to replace the boots.

This is really a simple fix. Just buy some new clamps or tighten your existing clamps.

I recently replaced leaky CV axles with new ones from Napa, couple months later they started to leak. Napa refused me in warranty and gave me couple new bands to replace. Instead of using steel bands of same design I went to home hardware store and purchased couple plumbing clamps, the ones you can tighten with the 10mm socket. I removed old bands and installed new ones in 10 min each. No more leaky CV axles here.

There's about a dozen threads on this, even the past few days new ones have started a search will bring up a lot of info. Google "inner cv boot leak 4Runner", and you'll find the same articles I used to fix mine last week. Seems to happen to everyone who lifts their truck. It's an easy, but messy fix. If your boots are good, order the clamp kit on eBay, carefully cut your old clamps off, clean out all your old grease, repack new grease, re-clamp cv boots. The cleaning took me hours with brake cleaner and an air compressor. Good luck.
