Lost All Coolant

Just walked out into garage to see a puddle of coolant under 2001 4WD SR5. Hasn't been driven since yesterday. No coolant in overflow or radiator. Looks like leak in area of oil filter. Is this the area of the head gasket? There looks to be a sealing surface but the liquid looks like it originates above this seal. I will try to get a picture uploaded but any help now would be most appreciated. Thanks.

I'm very confident that it is not your head gasket. You said it hasn't been driven.

Probably a hose. I think it's time to replace the radiator and all coolant lines.

Btw post some pics even if crappy.

Based on your description alone... Well it is hard to know what really happened.

Water pump. It's in that area.

Waterpump/timing belt ever been done? Sometimes you can peer down with a light to the right hand side of the water pump shaft and see a build up of dried coolant coming from the weephole.

Lost Coolant

I replaced the radiator 6 months ago when I added an external transmission cooler. Never had the strawberry milkshake but didn't want to mess around. The ATF looks good. Oil looks good. What little coolant is left in the overflow appears to have a little dirt. No oil. The leak looks to be coming from the area where the lower radiator hose is connected to the engine block. No leak from the hose. Picture attached. This is a pic from below showing the bottom hose connected to the block. The leak looks like it comes from above and to the left of the connection.

Coolant Leak

Just saw the 2 responses for the water pump / timing belt. They were both done at ~100,000 miles. I have 185,000 now. I will take a look. Thanks for the replies.

Possibly the oil cooler hoses. They are above the oil filter.
