Lost frost plug. Leave or remove?

If one were to hypothetically push a frost plug into the block while installing a block heater would they leave it or remove it?

Common sentiment on the line is that it's OK to leave it but I'm not sure I agree with that.

What do you guys think? Keeping in mind removing it could prove to be quite difficult without pulling the engine

It was the left rear, but no worries- its been about 25 years since I actually knocked out a frost plug and I forgot how soft they were. Not much room in there but enough to get a screwdriver behind it and pry it out. Too bad, I was starting to think of what I'd put into the rebuild while it was out!
