Lost my spare tire crank tool

This absolutely worked

A 2' long 3/8" inch extension and a ratchet works like a charm.

Just wanted to chime in for those coming here from Google that this absolutely worked for my '04 4Runner. I picked up a 20" 3/8" inch extension from Orchard Supply and it worked perfectly :thumb3:

Exactly what more people need to do....add to the threads already started instead of an entire new one.

Idiots like me need to check the dates before getting ready to comment too quickly.

You can. I used one before i realized where the stock one was located.

Is the square end of a 3/8" extension the perfect fit?

My 4runner came without a spare or crank tool. I tested the lowering mechanism with a big flathead screwdriver and am looking for a tool long enough to reach through the bumper. Thanks!

You did look under the rear passenger seat? More than one new owner didn't know this....
