Hello guys,
I am the proud owner of a 2000 limited third gen that just turned 200,000 miles. It is my first 3rd gen 4runner but I have owned and lifted 2 different 2nd gen 4runners. My issue that I am having is in my front end after my lift. Just so you know I am 99% sure this truck has never had ball joints or tie rods replaced. They look to be original. So I order and installed from toytec 5100 billy's both front and rear. Up front I have the toytec/eibach spring on the second perch and out back I went with super flex springs. I had my mechanic put the strut together for me so I didn't have to. He was only able to use the bigger of the two bushing that come in the kit when he put it together. Now after everything is in I get a loud banging noise but only on my passenger side and only when I hit a good size bump. I also am getting some strange vibrations out of my front end from time to time. My question is should I be looking not at the strut but my cv axels? The one on the passenger side is bleeding out grease pretty good since the change in angle. Or do I need to make an adjustment to my struts? Any help would be great. If you want some pictures I can get some for you.
