Loud window noise

So I bought a new door check and it was easily replaced. But it still pops on the way down and scratches the tint right off. Nothing looks bent. But for sure the door check is touching the window when the door is closed. Any ideas.

Fixed mine today. Just pulled out the Door Check strap and re-bent it away from the glass. Works great now with no interference. Also tightened up the outside glass weatherstrip while I had it apart. No more window rattle when rolled partially down now. Lubed up the window gears and contact points too. Window zips up and down real smooth and quick after that.

If you can provide the pic for re-bending would be helpful

Replaced the door checks on both front doors last night. I recently had mine into the dealer for the "sticky dash" recall and asked them about the snap. They tightened up and lubricated all the window tracks but since the snap didn't go away they didn't charge me. While I was there I got a price from them for the door checks. $106 ea. Found them on-line for $76 ea and installed them myself. After installation I have no more snapping or catching and bonus; the doors hold themselves open now. If you are still having some catching after installing the new checks then the tracks probably needed tightening and lubrication while you are at it. The drivers door check was badly bent and stretched as you can see in the photos. So nice to have this fixed. Don't know what took me so long. Took less than an hour for both doors. I think the wind catching the door once or twice or constantly flinging the door open too hard is too much for these spindly little parts.

found this thread helpful with my "popping" issue. I'll eventually buy a replacement part to correct the issue but in the mean time I decided to cut off the offending "hook" in order to provide clearance for my window. Worked perfectly.

From what I can asses is either the guides wear out (no new part to compare to) and thus the arm is no longer able to stay near the inside of the door (you can see a bulge behind the door panel for the door check) or some other problem is occuring.

Im needing to do this soon as mine has been hitting my tent for months now and scratching it up badly. Very helpful with me figuring out my issue.

Hopefully some of you are still subscribed to this thread. I replaced the door checks in 2016 as you can see earlier in this thread. They are shot again. I was wondering if anyone has ever ground down the catch to make it less likely to interfere with the window as this weak assembly tends to start stretching immediately. After the last time I replaced the door checks they began catching again shortly after.
