About a year ago I sold the 94 Wrangler that I bought brand new and bought a beautiful 02 4R Sport Edition. It was a one owner car with only 84,000 miles. I FRIGGING loved it.
Only problem was so did my wife. She loved it so much that when I went out and bought another play car (86 Mustang GT with T-tops) she decided that she wanted the 4R for herself. So I sold her CR-V and gave her the 4R. I scored a cheap 95 Bronco as a daily driver, and I was rotating back and forth between the Mustang and the Bronco and we actually pocketed a few bucks out of the whole deal.
Well I had enough of that. Every time we would go somewhere as a family and we took the 4R, I regretted giving it to my wife. So I sold the Mustang on eBay. Shockingly, I sold the Mustang for a LOT more than I paid. The Bronco is going to be stored at our vacation home in the Pocono's and I started the hunt for another ride.
There was really no decision. I knew that I wanted another 4R. Last night I checked out a 2000 SR-5 with 136K. It's super clean and has brand new tires, and a new PA state inspection. I checked it out thoroughly and everything looks good. I made an offer and the guy wanted a day to think about it. Before I pull the trigger is there anything you guys can tell me about the 2000 that I should know? We ABSOLUTELY love our 02 and I know that there are some subtle differences.
Any feedback?
