Low Beam replacement

Anybody familiar with these or something similar? I'm looking into replacing my low beams and was wondering if anyone had any experience with high end low beam bulbs. I understand a HID upgrade is the best way of going, but for now I just one to do a quick small upgrade and not change my entire headlight assembly since I refuse to just throw HIDs in a reflector headlight housing. Thanks in advance

They are ok. But my past experience with them has been that they have a short life especially for the $$.
 
Actually the PIAA's are great I have been using them for years in numerous vehicles and they are a ton better than silverstars and other such bulbs to get more light with out modding to much. Plus the Piaa's have a one year replacement warranty if the burn out on you I use it all the time and haven't bought a bulb in almost 2.5 years.When I do need to buy I keep an eye for sales at the auto parts stores I know for a fact where I live in BC Lordco always has them on sale for almost 1/2 price in the spring during their trade show and again in the fall. IMHO opinion for just changing the bulb I think these are great.
 
Have you consider HIR bulbs? If not do a little reading as they are a great alternative to traditional bulbs.

Also check out candlepower, they sometimes have a lot of hard to get bulbs from the EU. candle Power link

I would have no concerns using them. Not having the blacked out tips affects the refraction if I recall correctly. For the price it is hard to go wrong.
 
Well, at $27.00 or $50 for the pair, I went ahead and pulled the trigger :hunter:. I will be picking them up tomorrow, can't wait.

I've never been flashed so I don't think it is an issue. That disclaimer wasn't there when I ordered mine.
 
Thanks for not being "that guy" by using hid's in a reflector housing. Let us know what you decide, and maybe post some before and after photos? For others considering this type of upgrade!
