Lower ball joint failed !

Guess I picked the wrong day to joke about my eBay lower ball joint. Mine just failed on the freeway and did a (dealer estimated) $2k in damage. Might be the end of this truck.

I can, but I am about 150 miles away from home and still have to be on the west coast by next week, so I'm in a bit of a pickle. Currently thinking about picking up another truck and then towing the 4Runner home on the way back from CA. It won't be fun, though: gonna have to go through the entire front rack and replace both half-axles and all the steering components. Plus I live in Brooklyn, so it's not like I have a backyard to leave the 4Runner in while I work on it.

Come the end of summer there will be an option to replace those. I'm going to start making LCA's with rebuildable uniballs joints. This will be an entire new arm, and there will be no failing LBJ's anymore.
