Lower control arm bushings shot

I have a 2010 with 115K on the odo. I have had some clunking up front for awhile and today the dealership said I need new lower control arm bushings. I guess the complete lower arms need to be installed. I can't get away with just the bushings.

I do a lot of desert traveling but do my best to drive like an old lady. I have an Icon suspension up front, but I'm guessing it's simply the use and miles that caught up with the bushings.

Anybody else?

Over half a decade and 100k miles(in conjunction with aftermarket parts)? I wouldn't think twice about replacing them if needed. You can replace just the bushings but the labor will escalate causing the replacement of the entire arm to be a better choice financially.

You will also get new lower ball joints when purchasing the arms.

I would only use Toyota parts unless you'd be interested in replacing it with a stock length lower arm by Dirt King or Total Chaos. Then you could drive like a man, and less like a grandma.

Mine have been shot for a while. But I am going long travel.

My suggestion if you can swing it get the Total Chaos Race lowers. They are serviceable so if you are going to keep your truck will save you cost. Otherwise yeah just go with stock.

I appreciate the input fellas. I thought they might be going out just a bit early but I suppose not. I will check into aftermarket as I do plan to run this rig for a looong time. I'm always interested in how well these things do as we really start putting on the miles on these 5th gens.

Maybe check in to some aftermarket replacement factory style rubber . Also make sure you confirm that you can get those separately from Toyota because I had dealers tell me things and I found out later different .
