I know there is ton's of this threads on this. But I see so many different bushings be used and what hardware to have to replace stuff with. I will be having Kurtis on this forum helping me with this job! " He is a super knowledgeable guy and very nice!" Anyways back to the subject of the matter. Kurtis was nice enough to give me his IFS parts since his 4runner is going SAS.

So I already have LCA out I just need to know what bushings to buy and have a shop press them in for me.

Here is video of my LCA Bushing Kurtisthinks this is what causing my issue with my pulling

If I were you id get the poly bushing kit from energy suspension, i just detailed a bunch of it in my build thread, they ride great so far, i still need to replace my worn out upper ball joints and tie rod ends, then ill feel the full effect.

basically you can do the whole job with a wire brush puller and c clamp, no press needed. youll need a puller for the ball joint anyways.

it comes with the instructions but feel free to look at my build thread and also send me a pm.

I started a thread on this a few months ago, whiteline and energy suspension make replacement bushings, maybey someone will chime in and post links. Or if you don t wanna mess with this get the whole lca from Toyota for 170$ a piece. I'm still debating which one I'd rather do. I have used a piece of all thread with huge washers on each end and squeezed the bushings through.

There's a lot of different methods but yeah a press makes it easy. All shops will do those jobs. As to what pieces of the old bushing you keep and what pieces get replaces I am unaware of. And yeah you will need some new sleeves if your old ones are froze. And rusty sand break. there are some ones availible on rock auto and places maybe someone can tell us if they have any experience with non oem cam bolts and sleeves. I just planned on getting oem ones when I do mine if they are broken when I take it all apart. I'll start a thread in June when I do my upper arms and coilovers

I did mine about two weeks ago when I did my timing belt. Its really helpful to get it on a lift or at least up on stands. The sway bar links were being replaced and were tough to get off, but getting those loose made it possible to do without a press. We did use a deadman jack to lift the swaybar into place though.

I found this bushing set so I just order them up seen someone else using them so why not next stop is take it to a shop to get them pressed out and pressed in!
White Line Lower Control Arm Bushings

I was just going to tell you about that place. I actually just ordered the discontinued ones as White line said there isn't much difference, just added some washers basically.

I'll most likely never get the stock sleeves out without destroying them, that's why I went with this kit over the poly ones.

What's the difference from the ones that are discounted? I think they are the UCA bushings

No they are the complete lower set. The guy from Whiteline told me that they are basically the same from old to new. The new ones they added some washers to help stiffen it up or something he said. I asked him out right if there was anything wrong with the old model, he said nothing at all, just that they were the old model number without the washers basically.

I'm cheap, so I went with the old ones, but even the new ones at that $60 price are a steal compared to OEM rubber ones that are $45 a piece at least.

Plus I got a 1/2" body lift with the money I saved on old versus new. And with the money I saved over OEM I bought 4 @ 1.25" spidertrax wheel spacers. LOL

Mine actually came today and they look nice. I mean they are bushings after all. :)

Did you have to use a torch because the bushings were not coming out?
Yea. We were only able to press one out with this press. After that we had to burn the bushings and hit the metal sleeve out with a chisel.. I almost gave up :israel: But I was going to get her done:50cal:

Can you get a measurement or picture of the added washers? Thinking of just going with the discontiuned set and pick up the washer at home depot or something.
