Lower control arm dial adjustment?

What is the purpose of the lower control arm dial adjustment? It is on the inner part of the lower control arm and there is a dial circle on the front and rear of the control arm in both sides of the suspension. It was adjusted when 5100's and fj coils installed, but not returned to original settings? Just brain storming something...

Thank you.

those are your cam lobe alignment bolts. There purpose is to adjust the alignment of your vehicle's front tires

So if those were not touched during alignment then it is safe to say that part was in alignment? Reason I ask is ever since that was touched I have had a vibration in my steering at about 70mph. Tires are balanced perfect... Had them checked 2x. When 5100's and fj coils were installed they marked where the original setting was with white paint, but they never returned them to where they were. Had the alignment checked at another place and they said alignment was way out of wack. Those cam lobe alignment bolts were not adjusted and still in the same position from the so called alignment I had from the shop that did the shock/fj swap. So does the cam lobe adjust we're the tires would wear on the edges. Just trying to figure out where the bouncing feel may be coming from after this conversion to new setup...

only way to kno is have your alignment checked but it's my experience vibrations in steering while accelerating or not braking just coasting is a tire balance issue

alignment issues cause pulling not vibrations or bouncing

So when you have stock 4runner tires and 5100's set to .85 with fj coils should the lower camber be adjusted at all? I can see where it has been turned in on each side more than half way. Alignment was already done at Toyota, but nothing mentioned about camber and it was not touched from setting that was done after coils/shocks installed by another shop. Would too much lower camber cause your ride to not feel smooth? Still scratching my head because it is only at 70mph that I feel the vibration and it is mostly on all hwy roads. So it points me to the tires still being out of balance... Wouldn't you think so?

if your cambers off it will just cause wear to your tires, if your tow is out it will cause the car to pull left or right or even push against itself, if the caster is off it can cause for a really tight steering or really loose steering

caster is typically affected by a lift in the since of causing a looser steering if your in doubt just have a shop check most shops will check for free just have to pay for them to correct it. but as I said misalignment doesn't cause vibrations bad brake rotors, unbalanced tires, uneven brake pad wear, are the culprits for vibrations

having anything other than zero camber adds wear to your tires, having anything other than zero tow will cause the car to pull left or right, and not having enough caster will cause for loose steering. caster and camber are adjusted with those cam lobe bolts
