Lower control arms

Anyone out there long traveled have their original OEM lower control arms?? I weld/fabricate back in my working days. Now it's just a valuable skill and hobby. I would like to get a set of OEM and do an experiment to modify them for long travel. Add 3.5" out section and strengthen/reinforce OEM arms. No way I'm paying five grand for something I can do myself for cheap and fun.
Thanks

4th and 3rd gen guys have. you are going to want to make them so the tire is moved forward for more clearance. if you think your cobbled together LCA's are =to a long travel kit from someone like Dirt King or Total Chaos well more power to you lol.

dont forget to also do uppers. and build in caster.

Haha thanks former high pressure power plant pipe welder. I can weld better than dirt king can. I'm going to build my own with math and geometry, supplied plate dimensions. Uppers are affordable lowers are retarded $. Would still like a set because I'm a cobbler and I'll have fun.. already on 2" wheel spacers, 33s, 3" lift. Body mount chop was simple and have the clearance already. Uppers will have the castor correction and geometry will be factory.

How did this turn out? I may have some OEM LCAs available soon you can have. Just pay for the shipping. My ball joins are shot and I am going to replace the LCAs soon.
