Lower Grill Removal

Anybody out there with advice on removing the lower grill on a 2006? I see some clips and two bolts on the top, but can't seem to access the lower section with the steel crossmember behind it. Any thoughts?

Is in it one-piece with bumper cover? If it is, then you can't remove it without cuting it.

I've looked at mine too , with no success . I always though about bolting up another set of lights to the steel crossmember.

Maybe when it warm I'll really dig into it further.

I'd like to mount a set of lights to that steel crossmember as Falls had mentioned. I'd either remove the lower grill all together, or I'd cut it to fit the lights. The problem is I've got four different sets of lights and I'm not sure which ones will fit best in the spot. Therefore I'd like to take the lower grill out first, experiment with the lights, then cut the lower grill around them. I know I should just cut the grill mount a set of lights, and be done...but I'm not like that. Like I said, I've got four different sets of lights of different shapes and beam patterns and I want to pick the ones that not only give me the right road coverage, but also look half way decent.

That front x-member is some very hard steel! (But thin).

Thanks for the link. Removing the bumper cover might be the way to go. You say it's relatively easy with just a few clips and bolts...if you've got any other advice on removing it, I'd really appreciate it!
