lowering options

are there any options for lowering my 06 runner2wd,i think a 1-2 drop would be a good drop or at least level the rear up.does anyone know of this set up.....scott

I know that there are lowering kits available in the JDM market and they may even be Toyota JDM kits. You could contact Jason Burtman at Burtman industries to get JDM stuff. Not really into lowering so I can't say much for options available closer to home.

Is that really necessary? Everyone is entitled to do what their 4runner what they wish, it is not up to you or anyone else to tell someone what they deserve or don't deserve.

I found these springs!

I've actually been looking into lowering my 4runner as well... Not for looks but for better handling performance. I'm going to post this up in a separate thread and see if anybody has tried these out on an 06 SE. I hope this helps!

I wish there was a picture with them installed to see how the 4runner looks lowered. I have a 4wd so I wouldn;t lower but it would still be interesting to see.
 
just to let you know. when you lower a 4runner down, you will get more rubbing from the tires to the fender. unless you buy a new set of wheels. but make sure you lower it correctly along with the size of rim and tires. it all matters. :p

your only talking about 1.25 '' that is nothing with these 20'' rims and the already 5-6 inches of fender well space that is there.....
 
I just want to know how much it helps the handling of the truck... I'd LOVE to slap some of those springs on if they're reliable and help improve the handling.

They will definitely help the handing and corners. It will feel like you just added sway bars. Jaos springs are very good, and the only ones people use in Japan when they want a good spring.
 
guys i am going to lower this mutha fuc%$@^# and show ya what a real runner looks like,its 2wd just like all the other so called sport ute's that have 20'' plus rims on them and are lowered or pimped out so to speak. if i wanted to take a perfectly good 30 or 40 grand vehical and ruin it by muddin it up and off roadin it i would have bought a jeep...... a real off roader:D
 
haha lets see what everyone has to say about that.. I like scott. Cause he says what he wants. And he says things that will for sure make someone on here go nuts haha
 
i actually saw someone who has custom airbags on their 4runner. i personally don't like it when they are slammed meaning low to the ground. at least to the height of a normal car is enough for me. but to me, i rather raise it and go with big wheels. :D

These ones aren't Jaos though... :( I wish they had some Jaos springs that we could buy.

These are Jaos springs, and they will only work on models without Xreas.
