the front i need to trim a little more of my cab mount, i never fully chopped the cab mount just to gain enough clearance originally. So that will happen this weekend. The rear i need to check, i need to extend my rear bumpstops but i might open the rear fender up a bit like Fabien did on his pre runner.

Awesome thats easy enough! Also if you have adjustable upper and lower links you can always re adjust those and move the rear axle back a little bit. That seems to be a good solution since you can do more trimming and pushing back of the pinch welds etc but on the doors not so much. That's probably what i'm going to do when the time comes.

Trimmed up my cab mount some more and got rid of the sharp corner of the pinch weld. Also opened up the rear fender on the bumper cover for more clearance.

Not bad. What are you using to cut the plastic back in the rear?

I taped the line then I used a dremel with a cutting disk then I shaped it with a carpet knife. Once the line was cleaned up I used a sanding block to get it straight.

Looks good. I haven't done the rear section. On the front I just use a grinder with a flapper disc. You can get a very fluid line and then just go back with a small file to get the "crumbs" off.

Yeah on the front I used a grinder and a cut off disk to clear the room for the front.

Going to plate it soon.

I didn't cut it. I hammered it flat and cut a relief cut in the bottom corner so it can fold flat instead of a point to catch on tires. Then sealed with with 3M seam sealer. It just went through ElNino without issue.

Ah okay. I just pounded mine back a bit, I think I'm gonna flatten it some more and cover it up like you did. Looks good and sealed.

Had a ton of fun this weekend, found a lot of snow surprisingly.

Coopers did great, scrubbed just a little. Real happy with my set up, we got through some deep snow and ice as well as the usual trail dirt.

Finally got my rear bump stop extensions

Instead of mounting the stock hard rubber bump stop to the bottom like most. I'm going to drill a hole in the proper location and mount a super bump like I did in the fronts. A little softer impact when I bottom out.

The "hardcore" desert-running FJ guys recommend against 3" bump-stop extensions and the MT long travel rear shocks because it limits your uptravel and they can get away with running 35's and no bump-stop extensions easier than our 4R's with the smaller fender wells.

Would there be any detriment for you to run the MT LT shocks now, since you need to have the extensions anyway? I know going slow in the rocks the LT shocks would probably help me a ton.

I'll might get 35's because they look cool :fro: and are taller around the rocks. But I'm still considering the 305's and 295's.

I was originally going to do hydro bumps but another guy did them on his 4th gen and would rub on them when articulated. I tried to keep the rear bumps stock but i slammed hard on them last weekend and it was not a good impact. I dont want to do that much more so i ordered these. I looked up the MT LT Icons and they're the same length as my Fox's. So it would be zero change. Although i do plan to switch to them somewhat soon because i want to jump to 2.5's in the rear to match the front.
