lug nuts

This may be a dumb question, but here it goes anyway:

I am switching over to the 18" Limited wheels from the stock 17" on my 05 SR5. Is there any reason I would need to replace lug nuts? The reason I ask is that I've seen people on here selling their wheels with the lug nuts, so I assume they are switching to another type/set? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

As long as they're NOT replacing the studs..the lug nuts will still work.

Why some people may be selling them is they don't match the new wheels.

Toyota OE wheels use a shank type lug nut. People who sell their wheels usually include the lug nuts because you can only get them from the dealer and they are very expensive. If you were going from steel wheels to alloy then you would need new lug nuts. About the only trucks you will see steel wheels on would be Tacomas or Tundras or 3rd gen or older 4 runners.

You should be fine with the same lugs you already have.
