MA/NH Meet and wheel: June 2nd

I had spotters (and some very good ones at that), but on the "easy" parts of the trail, I bottomed out a few times :redbrick:

The rear of my skid took it really hard. It's dented right next to the drain plug. It almost ripped my Fumoto out, which could have been really bad. The drain plug cover is missing.

Fumoto?

And I don't have a drain plug cover either.

Hey guys and girls .
Just wanted to stop over here and say thanks for cOming out to the poker run.
You guys did a good job for stock runners . I always like to see more toyota's then jeeps at theses runs. I have about 70 pictures and 3 hours of video . I'll make sure to post some over on this board . (just to piss off the guys that didn't want to get wet) :biggrin2:

I think there was some talk about setting up a huge meet/greet this summer all Toyota's . I'll try and keep you guys posted .
As for wheeling hope to see more of you guys on the trails :thumb3::thumb3:

Nice job working your way through the rocks Alex, I was waiting for the big "clunk" at one point but you got through without a hitch. How did the new shocks serve you?

If you watch the second vid you can see how much the frame flexes relative to the chassis by watching the top of the bull bar.

Like Qjake, I bailed bc of all the rain. After reading that quote and seeing the pics...I'm pissed w/ myself that I didn't give this a go. Next time for sure, no more excuses.

Nice job working your way through the rocks Alex, I was waiting for the big "clunk" at one point but you got through without a hitch. How did the new shocks serve you?

Stock? I think not hahaha. The extra lift helped a lot though.

If you watch the first :45 seconds of the dash cam, you'll hear me smash down and gasp hahaha.

The bull bar is just loose and wiggly.

Honestly though bro, can this be done with a stock T4R...i'm not afraid to get it dirty but for the rig to be a $40K+ vehicle, not one I'm looking to eff up you know? So again, would you say this trail can be done with a STOCK 2wd and by one with very little off road/trail exp or is it something you wouldn't be so quick to recommend?

NCRS4x4 is having their 1st annual BBQ / Meet & Greet next Saturday
June 9th.... with events starting at 9 AM.....

North Country Rock Solid or on their facebook page....

This is an Open event with NCRS folks telling you who they are and a look inside "Off The Wall"s New SHOP .....with the following events on site;

a) Show & shine

b) RTI ramp & 101 course ( $5 fee)

c) Trail rides around Plymouth area towards Newfound Lake and back
( $15 fee) will now start around 9 AM and continue throughout the day.......

d) Wheeling for The Lost will be there to share stories and pix of their 6x6 Trip and "Info" on what & who they are....

The Fee$ $$$ will go towards WFTL and future events by NCRS4x4....

Now for the important stuff

The "Off The Wall " shop is located at;

66 Danforth Brook Road
Bristol,NH

_Toyota folks have always had a GREAT showing for WFTL venues and I would like to expand that to ALL new comers.....Tacoma World Folks have been great the last 2 years and this is OPEN to the 4-Runner crowd also...

I'm also trying to identify this part attached to my transfer case and if it's supposed to be bent back the way it is. Edit: I found a pic here and it' definitely not supposed to be bent this way. Any idea what it is? It seems to be some sort of NVH dampening thingamajig, but I'm not sure.

And Alex, a Fumoto is a drain valve that goes in the oil pan. It makes oil changes way less messy. I'm pretty sure it bent in the oil pan a little bit.

You can't go there with 2wd . You will end up digging holes and ruining the trails for other . Your better off riding in somebody truck and taking pictures . And get a feel for what the trails are like .

That sucks though man, but at least it was confined to your exhaust and that thingamajig. Listen to your girlfriend, LIFT LIFT LIFT!!!! And maybe throw a set of sliders at it too while you're under there.
