I like those new tires, great choice (I bet your wife is just tickled to death that you're buying all those new parts, tires, etc. hahaha), I think putting some spiders on will definitely help, although I'm not 100% sure if new UCAs would help the rubbing issue, but obviously they would help with alignment issues.

I'm still learning myself, so I'll be interested to find out if the new UCAs would help with the rubbing issue or not (without spiders on).

So far im still stock UCA :)
 
I don't know...Shrockworks, ICON and 285 Duratracs.....not really digging the combination. :jk: Now all you need is to replace those side steps with some sliders :bigok:

I don't think I've ever seen the white lettering out before. Looks good on your truck. Hopefully you get everything squared away soon.
 
Come on, Whites out without a doubt. I like to show off $251 per tire. Im waiting on the bolt kit from shrockworks and the spacers I purchased last night.

I agree, whites out all the way! Especially with BFGs and Goodyear Wranglers

man, those PIAAs look great on top of the roof rack....guess I never considered putting some on the stock rack (I'm assuming it's stock....)

Do they just bolt onto the rack or is there drilling required? :uzi:

I measured, marked and then looked. I noticed 4 ridges on the roof of the 4Runner and i used them as guides for the mounting of the PIAA. I drilled through the top of the stock racks and bolted them as you see now. it was easy.
 
I've mostly been using my iPhone to view the forum for a while and the pictures on this thread don't show up so this is the first time that I'm seeing these... awesome! Can't wait to see that bumper mounted!
 
Have you wired up the lights yet? I was curious to see if you had much vibration from the stock cross bar. That was the issue i had with mine four lights on the front of mine. I ended up taking them off until i decide on another mount for them.

Not wired up yet. Maybe soon. Im looking into getting OEM buttons to operate the top and bumper lights. Ill be taking the truck to get wired professionally.
 
Sorry to hear about the bumper frustrations. I've found it best to just walk away in these situations and come back to it when you're fresh and rejuvenated! Minor setback on your way to a sweet rig! Just a thought... could the mounts be upside down?
 
Damn man..sorry you had to go through that. I understand the frustration when all you want to do is get the damn thing on so you can start enjoying it.

How much higher is the bumper than the bottom of the body panels? I have seen flush and up to 1/4" gap with standard brackets with no body lift. So if the bumper is hitting 1/4" above the bottom then you might have the body lift brackets.

If you are 100% sure that you don't have the body lift brackets here are some tips that may help:

1. Mount the brackets to the frame but keep the bolts loose to give you some wiggle room. that way you can slide the bumper into place then tighten the bracket bolts after the bumper is secured.

2. Looking at the pictures above i'm not sure if the front black bracket sticking out underneath the headlight is bent but if it isn't you might want to dremel/bend the outside corner because it might be coming in contact with the new bumper which may be causing the height issue (doubtful but just a thought)

I'm sure a good night's sleep might give you a better perspective when you try again.

Also, why is the a random boot on top of your headlight/battery?
