Well. I just ordered my 22" Magnaflow muffler to put on at my dads shop. I also ordered a 14" Magnaflow oval "resonator" just incase I decide to replace the cat convertor. I know the legality and EPA stuff, so I do not need that info. What I am asking is if anyone has done this? I also am going to build a new 2.5" ypipe to get rid of that crushed down version toyota put on there. See any gains? There is NOT an O2 sensor behind the Cat, so I am not worried about turning lights on. Thank you in advance.

Yes. I will take some pics also. I am GUESSING that it will help with the seat of the pants performance, but I was hoping to hear from others before I went through the work to do it. I live 6 hours from my parents shop, so a good excuse to see them and do some work on my truck that I cannot in my home garage. Besides, he has a pipe bender, tubing, welder and lift. haha.

He won't see any. He'll actually get worse mpg's. Typically, adding "power"= louder exhaust tone= heavier foot= worse mpg's.

There was a thread on here a couple years ago where someone replaced the y pipe. He did a very nice job, maybe you can search for it.
