Magnaflow Exhaust

hey not sure why they wouldn't offer it in an 03. pm Jason Burtman of burtman industries. he might have a better idea than me if you could run the dual exhaust on your 03. i don't see any reason why not at this point though.

Borla does offer it for an 03-04, but it's a different version then an 05 plus and also alot more expensive then for an 05 plus, unfortunately.

Well i never claimed that you get MUCH better gas mileage and i know the factory system is efficient. But you will see better power numbers and an improvement in gas mileage with a full cat back compared to a muffler, even if its just a very small amount, I'm sure its less improvement for a v6 then a v8. Its up to the person buying if they want to spend the extra mula...

borla does make the exhaust for the 03, v8, but i dont see any place that has it for 595, more like 750. i like they way they look & sound, so for me it was worth the $.

its a different price because of the way the pipes are run & also because of the cats. trd dual exit catbac might be a little cheaper.

Thats basically what I did except for I used a magnaflow and only spent a couple hundred vs spending 500+ for a catback system and I couldn't be happier
 
4runner8, sure ya can, but remember, that mufflar u posted was almost 100 bucks,then you have to consider the cost of custom bent pipes, & 2 ss tips if u want em, id say, ur still looking at around 300 to do it. the cost of labor today is sky high.
 
I've got a Magnaflow can under my '08 V8 and I love it. Asked around town for the best muffler shop in the area, found 'em and had it done in an hour. The receipt says 18" Magnaflow (don't know which exactly) for $139 and $50 labor. I ordered an AFE air filter the same day which came about a week later. The Magnaflow, AFE filter and removal of the carbon post-filter inside of the air box makes music to my ears.

For sure I spent 289 I belive to get mine done and that was buying the muffler from them and cutting the resonater off and building a new tailpipe section and a ss tip
way cheaper then a catback system for sure
 
$58.85.

I was talking to the fellow who owns the muffler shop about bolt on parts to improve MPG. He said exhaust, an air filter for less restricted flow, and maybe synthetic gear oil after 10K or 15K miles was about all you could do with a 4Runner because they're so well designed.

I tell you what though, any gains I might have gotten from changing the muffler and filter have been completely negated by my foot on the accelerator 'cause of how damn good she sounds now.
