i was looking into gettting a new muffler for my 98 limited 4runner and i have a magnaflow on another car of mine and really enjoy the sound that a magnaflow produces. but i really dont know what muffler i should get.. i am looking for a deeper growl when i get on the throttle but not to loud when im just putting around.

I have one and like it. COB had one and had a pretty awful experience with the customer service side when he had issues with it. I think he has a link to his experience in his signature, but not 100% positive.

I have the 18" Magnaflow, and I love it. Louder than stock, but not too loud.

yeah i have one, its an 18" dual out let, i flipped it around and made a custom "Y" pipe to work as the inlet bcause i didnt want dual exhaust(its gay and fake) and i have "Y" on the exit side. i have liked it so far, its a little louder than id care for but not too bad, i have not had any issues with mine, but im not sure ill buy another, just cause i want something a little quieter. it sounds fine in the runner but outside its a little idk too ricey -i heard it for the first time the other day when i let my wife drive it while i was working on her car and i didnt care for the sound as she drove away...

I have an 18" welded in, I absolutly love it. When I first drove it home from the exhaust shop and hearing the guy start it up while I was there It was louder than I expected, it really growled. I thought I made a mistake but either It was just me getting used to the sound, or the muffler softening up a bit as its packing heated up and cooled down every time I drove it, the sound became much more tolerable and enjoyable within the week.
It has a slight purr at idle really gets louder when you punch it and everything else in between. No drone at all
In short Im really glad I got the 18 because the 24 is such a large volume difference I would have been unhappy with the lack of authorotative growl that you find with the 18". As for the 14" well if you want to set off car alarms maybe:thumb3:
I got the 2.5 " center offset I believe?

My 14" doesn't seem that loud. I have had a few alarms do a warning chirp when i drive by, but that was only in parking structures, never outdoors. there is no drone. its been good for me and cheap!
