I think the T4R takes 5W-30.

Turn on ignition (not start), set the mileage indicator to ODO

Turn ignition off.

Hold reset button for the trip indicator down, and hold it.

While holding button, turn ignition back to on (not start)

Watch indicator light, it will blink several times, then release button and turn off ignition.

You should be good to go.

Good Luck

I've done it without the first two steps. Why do you need those?

The maintenance light for oil change will come on based on mileage only. It has NO way of knowing that the oil has been changed.

How much you wanna bet the Owners Manual tells you what to do? Despite the rumors, the OM will NOT burst into spontaneous combustion if exposed to light.

because that is what the manual says.

also if you look at your oil fill cap, it clearly states 5-30.
even a monkey could figure that one out on the oil.

Despite what the manual says, it's totally unnecessary to do those two steps in order to reset the maint light.

Also, if a monkey could figure out 5W-30, then there's no reason to put in 10W-30.
