I just bought a 1991 4runner with the v6, it has 218000 miles. I bought it a month ago and i have changed the oil and oil filter and fuel filter and the air filter is fine. It does have a a leak in both valve cover gaskets and i dont know how long its been leaking but im guessing for a while because of the oil buildup at the bottom of the engine. Im curious as to everything i should check for on this vehicle because im soon going to be driving it 900 miles and would like to make sure that it is up for the challenge. So if anyone can tell me what I should check and what i should do for maintenance since the previous owners didnt do to well with keeping it up to date, id appreciate it.
