Im looking to buy a 99-01 T4R with about 50,000-65,000 miles. Just wondering what kind of maintenance I would be looking at in the next 30,000 miles and what that is going to run me. I know toyotas are extremely reliable and many of u guys have run 200,000 miles on these things but i want to make sure that im not going to keep dumping money into it because the initial price is already higher than a comparable Cherokee

then look at the maintenance schedule for any of those years.

thats standard maintenance, some of which you can do yourself.

mainly, oil changes, and fluid changes are all you need to worry about.

and if you pay anyone to do the front diff, transfer, and rear diff...you are crazy! also, the oil change is a piece of cake too. but...that is just my .02

i pay someone to change my front diff fluid, to me its annoying to get to with a 40lb steel skid plate to take off whenever i want to change my oil/diff oil. rear diff is easy, but its also cheap to get them to change that while they are at it.... maybe i spoil myself, but i hate the way gear oil smells, so ill let the tire shop do it for me.... if you are going for one with that many miles be sure to get one with the timing belt already replaced, that is a big one to take on after you just bought the car, other than that pretty standard stuff, as long as you do all the recommended service on it, it will run forever, shouldnt really ever have to fix anything on it unless you beat it, and even then, they hold up pretty well
