Making my own cargo box..? about weight

So heres the thing, I'm making my own cargo box and intended on doing 40in wide and 12in tall. After looking at pics of others with fridge/freezers most of them seem to have one side higher than the other, with the fridge sitting on the lower side.

Is it a matter of stability or is it more a matter of taste?

It might be because they can't do a taller drawer to hold the fridge because it wouldn't fit. Perhaps the other drawer is taller because there are no height restrictions. I have noticed that most fridge/freezer units are mounted on the passenger side though; I wonder if that's because the outlet is on that side?

Some of it's taste but some of it is practicality. Unless you have a fridge slide that slides out AND lowers..you'll need room to get in the top. Also rear visibility is probably a consideration.

And you probably need clearance for the fridge door.

I didn't think about how high up the top of the fridge would be, thanks for throwing that out there.

I guess the dimensions will be changing.
