making use of the rear of the center console

I was not even sure how to title the thread, so I will do my best to explain.

My truck has the rear heat option, although it has been deleted and no intention or need to re instate it. I just picked up a 99+ console today at the junkyard ( $5 ohh yeah ).

So, with the rear heater controls removed, the fan switch removed, and the ashtray removed, it leaves quite a few holes back there. I know I could leave everything in place, but was curious if anyone had come up with some interesting uses for that space?

I know there is a member here that makes the accessory plates, just looking for some other options or ideas.

Do you have any kids? I was thinking with all that stuff gone, maybe you could carve out and make one giant pocket. If you have kids, it could make a useful space for some of their stuff. Especially if you go on longer road trips with them.
