Making use of the SE Hood Scoop

I had an idea to make some use of my 2006 SE hood scoop. I was thinking of some how tunneling air to my XDI air intake. But....that could easily be a crap shoot.

So...I've thought about adding an AUX light in there some how...I think maybe this will work:

Anyways, just a thought, something to think about, could be a cool project.

opinions? I'd only be using that light when I'm out and about offroading and I need some longer distance "seeing"

i opened the scoope on my 07 sport, and it does kinda help my trueflow xdi out a bit, but its cools the engine.

id worry about clearance and heat with lights inside it? it could work? how would you mount them though?

I still have to measure to see...mounting will be quite the challenge...that is something I'd have to figure out.

But the general idea, what do you guys think? Stupid or...maybe worth while if it works?

Lights might be interesting but it's best to keep the scoop closed since there is no proof of any performance benefit and you just collect dirt on the engine and a dirty engine will run hotter.
