I tore my skid plate right off my 4runner back in 2003 "mall crawlin"...
I went up on a huge snowbank like that that had iced over somewhat and then backed off it and when I did I broke off a piece of the hill and when i backed up it tore my lower skid plate right off!!
too bad I didnt get a pic of it, I pulled a block of ice as tall as my clearance and prob 4 foot long 3 feet wide out of the snow hill

Yah, that's how my running board removal mod happened 6 years ago. :dammit:
I left them off for a couple of years and decided to put them back on. It might be time for a change, I may rip em off again.

I thought I was passed my snow drift poser shot phase, but John has me back out trying to conquer the tallest snow drifts I can find....
The rear tire was about 4" off the ground on this one. Ultimate mall crawler style!
This one is kind of dark but you can kind of get the drift (no pun intended) on the IFS flex, which I was actually pretty pleased with.
So there you have it, until a bigger snowdrift comes along....
