Does anyone know the thread size for the manual transmission transfer case shift knob? The gauges that came with my harbor freight kit said it was a m8x1.25, but when i actually drilled and tapped the new knob with that, m8 is obviously not the diameter. A quick google search says it should be m12x1.25, which sounds right, since the 1.25 gauge fit, but the diameter was off. The HF kit has a m12x1.5, which diameter wise, seems right. Don't want to spend money to get another tap if that isn't right. Any help would be appreciated.
