Map and Dome lights, not automatically coming on when opening any door

Hi everyone, I have a 99 SR5 with a bit of an annoying issue.

My map and dome lights work just fine when using the switches that are on them, however, even with the adjuster on the dome light in the right place, they won't come on when I open the doors. I believe the door jam switch is working, as the ring around where you put in the key and the light on the dash showing there is an open door both come on. Is there another place I should be looking to see if there is a bad fuse, bad wiring?

Appreciate any ideas! It gets dark early in the day in the PNW, and would be nice to be able to see inside the truck.

Not gonna be a fuse. Try all the doors. (Note: the map light will NEVER cycle with the doors--it's not wired that way). If none work, it's not the door switches.

If the Open Door Light in the cluster comes on, then check the dome fixture. Sometimes the switch is faulty in the door position. If that's not it, then the Light-Green/Black wire is open on the way to the cluster.

If no Open Door light on any of the five doors, defect is in cluster.

Remove the switch in the headliner with the one phillips head screw. There is a metal ball under it that looks like a silver bb, check it and makes sure it's not scorched and clean it off. Re-install.
