Mason's Build Thread

Sorry it has taken me some time to get back with you guys.

Thanks, it wasn't the highlander springs (which I believe are the tallest) but it was on the factory '99 springs. I don't remember measuring for my lift but I remember it was around a few inches up front and three or four or so in the rear. It came out up little more than advertised because I was replacing old worn out equipment.

Bilsteins all around and OME 881's + 890's.

How do you like the ride? How much it run you if you dont mind me asking.

I probably spent around $700 I believe and the ride is just fine. Probably not as good as it could be considering all the weight I've added to the rig since then, but I wouldn't say it is terrible. If you aren't planning on adding the weight I'd definitely go this route.

Yeah im looking at those but unsure about ome 90004 and toyotec coilovers with lc 8wraps in the back.

One of my favorite build threads! What happened to all the pics?!?

And anymore updates?

Thanks! That means a lot to me. I absentmindedly sorted pictures awhile back and didn't realize I broke all my pictures. Most of them should be back up now.

Been very busy with work and some health issues but the wife and I made it up to Colorado to do some exploring. Trying to get settled down before fall and the camping season really kicks off.

Thanks for the update. Hope everything is well.

You have one of a few T4R's that look good with 265 duratracs. I don't know if I want to go 265 or 285 when I decide on lift and everything else. I wish Savage still made the swing-out tire carrier rear bumper you have, but I'll see what they have planned for their redesigned version.

Thanks again!

What Bilstein shocks are you running front and rear? Part numbers?

I love your setup and would like mine to look the same.

Also did you get extended brake lines or panhard drop, etc?

Been awhile since I've updated this thread. Since then I've gotten a daily driver to keep miles off the 4Runner. I got a 2006 GX470, white with the third row and no nav.

I've got a pile of work planned on the 4Runner but started with adding a HAM radio for communication. CB just doesn't cut it. The HAM is a Yaesu FT-7900R and a Comet SBB-5NMO antenna.

How's that cargo slide working out for you? Plan to mount mine to the rollbar once I get it installed.

I love it. Really adds a lot of versatility to my setup. Only downside is that I can no longer sleep in my rig but it comes out pretty easily if I needed to do a quick trip and wanted to sleep in the back.

That took me my whole class period to read :usa2:
Sorry for bringing up this really old thread, but I just have two questions.
1. How did you mount that flashlight? I have been looking everywhere for it and I can't figure out how to
2. Can you link me to that rear tire carrier? It looks really damn nice

Sorry once again

Whoops I should really subscribe to this thread so I get notifications when someone posts here!

The flashlight mounts are Maglight specific mounts.

The rear bumper/swingout are from Savage Offroad. They have a new version out now.

Long time since I've updated. Thanks to some Group Buys here I've since added a fridge and awning. Both of which have been awesome.

I've got a few winter projects I'm hoping to work on. I'm revamping my storage solution and slide as well as changing my grill out to add a light. Won't be getting out much as my wife and I had our first kid, a daughter, back in September. She's been a lot of fun but is certainly keeping me around the house.

Earlier this summer I did sneak out with some friends to a secret and remote swimming hole and had a blast. Something I usually find hard to do in Oklahoma during summer.

Nice 4runner build! I came across your build in cross reference to some research about winches. I have an AOR front bumper and I wanted to find a good winch that would fit my needs, the bumper, and not leave me broke. I just ordered one via Amazon. They were running them for about $329 but had a $50 off coupon. That made it just too tempting to pass on.

How has yours treated you?

So far it has been great. Only used it a couple of times but it has worked great.
