Master switch interchangeability

My master switch maybe going bad and I'd like to swap it. Are all 3rd gen yrs interchangeable? For instance can a 97 master switch direct swap into a 99?

I assume you are talking about WINDOW master switch. If not, be more specific.

No, it won't even plug up. '99-'02 you are good: p/n 84820-35060.
