I like the idea of black. It matches your rear bumper and if you get sliders it would look pretty consistent from front to back. Later on if you change your mind you could also color match your flares to either your rig or your armor. Looks nice. That color is beautiful and you have options.

Yep, I'd vote standard black on the bumper too. I like [MENTION=116467]Rock_Rat[/MENTION] 's suggestion.

You guys are actually the first two to mention black, of the handful of other guys I've asked, all I've heard was color match. I should have the bumper within the next four or five days and it'll be coming to me bare so I might just bolt it on and see how I like it. If I like it, I'll paint it the bumper the same color as my flares since that color's similar to the bare metal.

I'm nervous about running a black front bumper since it'll totally change the color appearance of the blue, making it appear a darker blue with the purple more noticeable.

Who knows, we'll see where it goes. I'll be uploading pictures as the bumper comes and see what happens.

You're bumper is similar to mine in that it's not too aggressive looking with a big angle. It pulls in tight to the body. BTW-she's wondering if you have center caps. I'd go black too. If you had the limited cladding on the doors that was silver too I would be more inclined to say match it to the flares, but you can't go wrong with black. Good thing about having a black truck is black is color matched haha. Either way it'll look good!

No center caps. When I bought the LC wheels, they didn't have center caps and after getting them powder coated, I decided I really didn't need them. If the ladies approve, we might have to go with it. I've been very back and fourth on whether or not to do the black or not. Ideally, I'd like to have my flares painted Stellar Blue and have black bumpers but to have them color matched blows my budget as I have much more functional uses for $400+.

Very agreed on the limited cladding. That would more or less bring the color combinations together. Rather jealous about the black on black right now haha, I've been worrying about color matches too much after getting the opportunity to buy this bumper. Read above comment about painting the flares as well and let me know if you have any opinions on that.

There's a guy here with a real pretty Stellar Blue Sport Edition that never waves back at me. I'll go pull his flares and hood and send them to you, that'll teach him not to wave back!:boxing:

Finding a wrecked Stellar Blue sport edition would pretty close to a dream come true. If I found one east of the Mississippi with a hood and fenders, I would most likely be making the drive assuming I wasn't in classes at the time. There's one where my girlfriend goes to school and I may or may not have thought about pulling some parts from it :spy:. I think it's Sherwin Williams that makes OEM colored rattle cans and I've even thought about going that route for my flares. I know the flare color would be slightly different from body color because of fading but if it gets it to a point of not noticing without actually looking for it, I'd be happy.

So many choices on what to do. It looks like the weather will be nice for the next week or so, so hopefully I can figure out what route I want to go.

I keep going back and fourth. I feel like the Stellar Blue sets up a unique build already but want to keep it that way. I really like color matched bumpers matched with the body on certain colors. Thundercloud being one of my favorites. I'm on my phone right now and away at a families friend but have a picture on my laptop with a Sunfire red 4Runner with Thundercloud flares and matched front bumper. It looks great. When I get home tonight, I'll throw it up here and make sure to tag you in it.

Dang. Decisions decisions. Just took a gander at Stellar Blue images and I kinda like the matching bumper over the black now. It looks good with the limited cladding. I'm not not sure how it will look without. Here's someones photo below. It flows nicely from front to back without looking "choppy."

Here's the picture I referenced earlier about the color matched bumper without the cladding. I think it looks great, if I was good at photoshop, I'd try and turn the Sunfire Red Pearl into Stellar Blue Pearl to kind of get an idea. What do you guys think?

Thanks man! Thinking about it more and more, I think I'm going to go that route. I want to keep this build original and I think color matching the flares will help continue that. Hopefully everything will happen on time and as expected and I can get some pictures up here.

If you post a thread asking someone to photoshop your truck with the different color flares and bumper I'm sure someone here would be willing to do it. Honestly I think either way would look good on your truck. Would you leave the back bumper black if you matched the front bumper to the flares?

Spent a good amount of today painting my front bumper. I'm painting it the same color as my flares and when I eventually get a rear plate bumper, will match it as well. I won't have time to put it on anytime soon so teaser pictures for now.
