Wow, that's quite the compliment, Thank you! I'm a fan of that picture too, but I may be a little biased :tea:

Definitely became a bit lazy with updating the build thread but I try and keep it updated if anything big happens.

NorCal is so far so good. Tons to see. I just relocated to Sac from Walnut Creek and I must admit - I'm happy to be out of the Bay and closer to the mountains. If you're ever up for some wheeling, let me know!

Thanks man, have got some more stuff coming to it by the end of July. That should hold me over till the winter season, then some real fun should happen.

The access CA has given me to the outdoors is insane. Backpacking two weekends ago, wheeling last weekend, wheeling this weekend, etc. It just goes on and on, so much to do in so many (relatively) easily accessible and close locations.

Not sure if I updated this thread or not but I moved out of the Bay Area at the end of last year, and to Sacramento. Gets me a little closer to the mountains which is a huge plus (plus the people are friendlier and it's much cheaper).

I saw you took quite the hiatus from here, but back with a 4th gen too? Thing looks mint, really like the color (is Barcelona Red the color code for 4th gens?).

Any big trips planned in the 3rd gen on the horizon?

I do really like how close you are to a bunch of cool stuff, almost anywhere in California. Sacramento is nice. I was out there around March, only spent a day out there but I liked that area much more than the bay area.

Yeah I hadn't been on here in a couple years, but actually getting the 4th gen made me start coming back and fixing up some of the little things on the 3rd gen. The 4th gen is Salsa Red Pearl, it's an awesome color. Love how comfortable it is compared to the 3rd gen too.

No big plans for big trips at this time. One day I want to make it back to Moab and Colorado. I'm also still toying with the idea of a road trip to Alaska, but that would be quite the undertaking. Also debating a trip up to the northeast this fall. Cross off a few states I haven't been to up there and I hear it's beautiful in the fall.

For me, Sacramento is way better than the Bay Area. What were you out here for? Next time, you'll have to let me know.

There's so many little things I need to button up on the 4Runner. Have a trip planned this weekend, and then my next real wheeling trip will be the Rubicon in September. Hoping I can get a good amount of those little tasks done between now and then. I'm sure there will be some trips between now and the Rubicon but there should be enough free weekends to really knock some stuff out.

Zach and I always wanted to do the trans labrador highway in Canada. Might be a tid bit closer to you than Alaska. Anyhow, if you do make it to Alaska and find your way by way of CA, let me know. There's a ton of great places in the Eastern Sierras that are like no other.

I went out there with my girlfriend. We flew into Seattle, rented a car and spent a couple weeks driving around out there in the Pacific northwest and northern/central California. Spent a few days in the Napa Valley area and took a little day trip to Sacramento. Thankfully that was right before rental prices went crazy.

Next time I'm out in that area I'll have to let you know. The Sierras are pretty neat. Any mountain range is pretty neat in my book actually.
 
Rear Disc Brakes and 12" Kings went in. Used [MENTION=118207]midcoma[/MENTION]'s brake kit and was very surprised how easy the swap was.

Whelp, all National Forests in CA are closed for at least a month.
Time to get some outstanding projects done on the 4Runner. Nothing huge, just a lot of smaller things that will be conveniences more than anything.
 
Went camping over last weekend with the lady friend. Had her drive us around a bit.

Thanks Alex! White wasn't my first choice but I think it'll look pretty *****in with some bronze wheels and a few other items. I'll try and keep this thread updated every so often with updates on the Tundra too.

I see that everyone's favorite rack/equipment company may or may not've just release a new rack for Tundras...

Thanks dude! My previous DD was actually a Prius (CA gas prices made me do it). Talk about a giant switch. Used to try and get 55mpg in the Prius, and was pretty damn good at it. Now, it's a struggle to get 14mpg in the Tundra.
 
We should go wheel sometime as I'm in Sacramento as well. And maybe we can convince Caleb to grab one of the shops rigs with us.

The rig is gorgeous, great job!

Been neglecting the 4Runner a little bit since the addition of the Tundra. Hoping that changes soon - I started a list of items I want done to the 4Runner before spring.
Progress shot of the Tundra. Awaiting install of a 12k winch, have sliders on the way, and just installed skids. Taking it up to Oregon over President's Day, and down to Mojave in March. Being big and comfy is nice.
