Hey everyone...Judy & I had a great time, it was great meeting all the new faces! Sorry I got half the group lost in the beginning, but thank God for Ham radio, a CB would not have made the distance. Someone I know said (of the cheap Harbor Freight 12K winch) "If I only get one pull out of it, it will be worth it"...Well, it looks like that's all I got out of mine. I tried to reposition the hook when I got home (after pulling Cass off the cliff, scared the crap out of us!) and it only goes in, out is dead. Any repair suggestions would be appreciated...
i'm barely sorting through photos from Saturdays run, unfortunately, which are all off my iphone.
Although the pictures don't do justice to the experience, I had a an amazing time, from comin' in at 1am the night before to popping my tire lol. Definitely lookin' forward to future runs!!! Coming in, i didn't know its limits and having only ran light trails prior (lytle creek & GVL) Gotta say that this was the hardest i've wheeled my rig and it comforting to kn.ow how far our rigs can take us. VERY big thanks to Miah [MENTION=117408]Oneluv13T4R[/MENTION] as well as everyone who helped me change my tire!

Mucked up contacts ....try a can of that electro cleaner or maf sensor cleaner made by crc on your alternator, starter contacts. But first double check and clean your battery terminals then work your way down.
Oh and check your batteries in general for any shifting from there trays or mounts resulting in loss of full contact or connection from doing the donuts and s turns throughout the canyon.
Mine have done that a couple times and result with the issue your having.

I really dig on this video it sums it up pretty well and makes me realize I had you guys on some serious sections..rough, steep, transitions but nobody backed down and much props to everyone for that.
I liked watching you in the middle part of the video where your behind outbreak I think and your watching him do that hill climb with a couple step ups but you chose your own path to take that was better suited for your rig, nice work.

Yeah batteries are good, first thing I checked the next day because I drained my house battery pretty good running the fridge for three days and I was worried I knocked something loose and it wasn't charging right. Was too busy fixing my slider from the flat tire fiasco to pull the wheel off last night, but I'll clean the contacts tonight and see what happens. Hoping it's just mud, but it was starting fine Tuesday, and started the click and delay yesterday.

Dude I got the same thing hahahahaha, the click and delay! I just cleaned and greased up the connections and now it starts fine.
I bought the plunger contact kit found here just in case down the road something internal breaks. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/209957-replace-starter-contacts-plunger.html
But clean the battery connections and the starter connections (hot wire, ground wire, and push in clip). I just fixed this yesterday :thumb: and ohhh man there's so much dried mud on my undercarriage, I guess I need to invest in a angled power washer tip. I spent like 2 hours pressure washing as much as I could reach Sunday morning.

Hahah, nice. I'll give everything a good cleaning and hope that fixes it. I need to pull my skid plates off because there's mud caked to my oil pan, transmission, and transfer case. Was well worth it though, haha.
