I was idling low so it wasn't charging at idle, but that part at least seems to be fixed. You should see 13.5-13.8 at idle. Let me know if the plunger fixes your starter issue. I'm gonna run by the car wash tonight after the kid goes to bed and see if I can't get some of this mud and debris off the bottom. Engine bay needs a cleaning too, mostly just dirty and dusty connectors, there wasn't a whole lot of mud up in it.

So I tested the alternator and it was charging fine 13.7 at 600-700rpm idle. But there's definitely something wrong with either my idler bearings or alternator bearing. I have a steady buzzing/ whining while the engine is running and it gets louder when I accelerate or give it gas.

Water definitely screwed us up. I changed the fan and awaiting for the radiator so I can install. Hopefully she'll fire right up and no alternator issue. You know what this means...need more suspension lift!

Spray some belt conditioner made by crc on your belts at each of the pulleys. You get some Tri Flow dry lube spray for your pulleys bearings. Just like when u were skateboarding back in the day you go through a puddle what happens bearings start squealing and stopping spinning as fast so your having to kick your leg more and more to keep it going...well that's what your engine is having to do now so lube the damn things.

Yep, if you look at the pictures, you're the only one who's nose isn't in the water. I'm 3" in the front, but it's getting to be time for 33-34s. Was wondering about Chris and Ryan the other day and if they had any issues.

Yeah man it's crazy, but totally worth it! I thinks it's because our cars all have over 100k on them. I textd Chris his car is fine haha.

I was thinking of just getting the gates kit to replace the 2 upper 1 lower idler bearings and belt. They have prolly never been replaced so it's a good time to just replace it so I don't have to worry about it later. If the buzzing/ whine doesn't go away I'll know it's the alternator bearing that got fouled up. Most likely it's the lower idler bearing, from my research people were saying that the oem bearings aren't sealed...the backside of the bearings don't have a cover so they get gummed up easily. The gates replacements are sealed both front/ rear.

Hi everybody. Sorry to hear about everyones aftermath. Fortunately i only have to deal with ripping my bumper off, lol. (Aka buying a nice steel bumper[emoji123] ) That mud and silt though [emoji21] [emoji21] [emoji21] .
I've washed my car 4 times and am still finding dirt dripping out. Cant wait to do it again. But definitely gonna need some suspension/lift. I also wanted to to say thank u to everyone for the awesome time and give [MENTION=117408]Oneluv13T4R[/MENTION] a shout-out for the amazing guide service he provided.Kelsey I never would've been able to do/see all that in day alone and appreciate it very much. Also to [MENTION=123332]Drunner97[/MENTION] for taking time out of his fun to take pics of everyone. Whens/Where is our next trip????

Yeah Man! Broken fan blade and radiator leak. Reading all this alternator, bearing issue and lubricating belts has me itchin to fire her up. Got to get er done before the 25th and hopefully no issues. I ordered built right uca and looking at the spindle lift for upgrade. Got to get them 33's! See all you guys soon!

Mac, what kind of uca's did you order? You didnt order Spindle's yet did you?
Pm me what your plans are or what you are gonna order I've got some info for you on uca's and Spindle's and suspension too save some cash and have it similar to mine for cheap.

Changed the fan and radiator. Started her up with a jump anf fired right up. Went for a drive to recharge the battery. Got home and shut it off but won't start back up. I can hear the click but wont start. Jumped it again and started back up. Currently at o'reilly.

I thought it was the battery at first but wont crank up without being jumped. Took it to O-reilly and swapped the battery. It still didn't want to start so I then thought it was the alternator or some electrical issue. I kept trying to start it until it started on it's own. Long story short, it's starting fine but I'm still cautious. I drove it today and hopefully it's back to normal. I'm going to degrease and clean the engine, spray the alternator with spray specific to alternator, unplug the electrical connector 1 by 1 and spray with electrical spray. Hopefully it won't come back. At least I learned to change my fan blade and radiator. So easy!

Lesson learned, deep mucky water sucks, and immediately clean EVERYTHING. I must have left 20 lbs of mud at the car wash last night.

I'm hoping it's just the battery. I drove it to work today to monitor. Did you figure out your issue? I haven't read your other thread lately but I followed a lot of the diagnostic process for what I read and applied it to mine. Thanks for that D!

I wouldn't say I've figured it out, but it's been less and less of an issue. Monday morning she didn't want to start (click, delay, start) but got it running. I chalked it up to low battery drain. Got to work, started at lunch no problem, started after lunch no problem, then click-delay-start leaving Monday night. Tuesday no problems at all. Weds morning, click, no start. cycle key, started right up, no problems at all yesterday. Started up first crank this morning. No f'ing clue what's going on yet, haha.

Everything seems to be charging and running fine though aside from the occasional starting issue. I sprayed down everything pretty good last night at the car wash so hopefully I got some gunk that I probably missed cleaning connections.

Yep, it's some kind of short or disconnect. I tried starting it during lunch and (click, click,). I had to do it 2-3 times before it started. I'm reading starter relay, starter, efi 20A etc, etc. We'll see when I get home and clean the engine. Dang it!

So I was finally able to change out my contacts/ plunger on my starter (starts right up now). Also Danny, both my front axle seals are leaking too. I guess I'm going to change those out also...that damn water crossing (shakes fist in air).

I've been starting fine the last week so dunno what my issue was. Also on the axle seals, if the seals are still good, you can just pop the axle and clean it up. I bought a new seal, but the one in there looked brand new, looked like it just had a bunch of dirt and mud around it. No leaks since.
