Your Build looks great man! love the bumper, love the wheels, got a quick question- What % window tint do you have?

Thanks man! Actually the window tint is no longer 5%. Originally, when I first got the rig, I matched the front two windows with the back. Then about a year later I put 5% tint all the way around. So, if you do the math it actually comes out to about 1%. But a few months back I got a fix-it-ticket for the front two windows, and I ended up just peeling the 5% layer of tint off the front two windows. The cop metered it out at 14% but he did it several times and seemed a bit confused and just told me it was fine haha.

There is a good chance ill be driving the 4runner from NM to GA mid-December to mid-January time frame. Maybe as it gets closer and my wife and i nail down our travel plans we can setup a trail ride or something! Put those sliders to use!

We should definitely try and plan something for that time then. I won't be living in Georgia this year, I'll be playing ball a little closer to home, but I'd definitely make a trip over to GA and meet up with you guys and hit some trails. Sounds like it would be a good time.

Well I finally got my 4xInnovations DOM sliders welded up. They had been sitting in my garage for a year. My friend that did the welding just recently finished building his truggy. It was originally and 86 Pickup. It has a propane conversion, 37s, Bilstein shocks all around, welded rear, spartan front, chromo shafts. It's very nicely built and currently for sale.

The overall painting process wasn't too fun, but I was just happy to finally get these sliders on. Now I just need to find some rocks to test them on :reddance:

Love the look when you first bought it. Thats what I'm going for ... what kind of brush guard is that? I don't take mine off road very often, mostly just to get to where I'm going to camp or what not. It gets me everywhere i need to go.

Unfortunately this update is more of a personal maintenance kind of post, I haven't done anything much except put on the miles. Could use a little TLC though, and I hope to get to some of that this summer.

Need to get accomplished this summer:
Tundra Brake Upgrade
Power Steering Belt (90080-91126-83)
A/C Belt (99364-20870-78)
Alternator Belt (90080-91090-83)
I am a bit intimidated by the belts but hopefully they aren't too difficult

Want to get accomplished this summer:
Tune Up (Spark plugs and wires, TB, MAF, Diff and Tcase drain)
Repainting bumper and roof rack rails
Repainted Sport Hood (it's starting to look terrible)

Upcoming future mods:
CS-144 Alternator
Transmission Cooler

Recently changed all at 138400 miles:
New Left Napa CV Axle
New Front Left Axle Seal
New Front Left LBJ Bolts

135000 miles:
Drained front diff, refilled with synthetic

Like I mentioned above, I haven't been doing much lately with it except putting the miles on it. I haven't even really been able to get it off the pavement. I recently had surgery on my arm (Tommy John surgery), and I haven't been able to do much of anything up until recently. So hopefully I'll be able to get a few more mods here soon. I've also recently taken off my Budbuilt skid plate to do the CV. Since it's off, I'd let it go for $150 pick-up to a local forum member? Sorry I didn't have any pics to post, hopefully I'll have some soon..

Sorry, I am just now seeing this... The brush guard was a Westin brand brushguard. I don't think you can really buy them anymore unfortunately.

Thanks man! Glad to hear you approve. It'll definitely have a good home here. My brother loves it, and I'll be teaching him how to wrench on it. So hopefully he will keep it for many years to come.
On a side note, was there ever any sound deadening installed on it? It's super quiet compared to mine. Haha

I hope to see everything I always wanted to do to it. Just wait until you take those icons on a trail. Now that is a good time. My buddy hates me after riding in the runner because of how smooth they rode at speed on washboard roads. His Tacoma will never be the same...

Well there's no immediate plans for it, but I'm sure after a while my brother will get the itch that many of us have experienced and then it's on from there haha. And I've still got to get over the fact that I've been slowly upgrading mine for a few years at a time, and then he just goes out and buys one with everything I've got on mine plus a locker. Once I get over that, I'm sure the jealousy of the Icons will be next. They look suhweeeet!:clap2:

Really been tossing around the idea of de-building mine and trying to sell for a good price. After seeing my brother's new rig in person, and looking at mine, I think I've decided mine is just too nice to handle the things I want to do with my 4runner. I think I could pull my bumper, lift, wheels, tires, skid plate, and floor mats and replace with stockish parts (maybe a mild lift). Sliders would stay obviously, and I think with what I could get for mine, I could pick up a 99-00 5 speed and still have 3k extra to put into the build plus what I take off the old build. I'd also be able to use the rig more like I want and not feel guilty scratching it or denting it. Anyone care to talk me out of it?

I think it's pretty cool that your brother bought Ark's rig. That will give you guys a lot of reasons to hang out and have bro time. I wish my brother was into wrenching, wheeling, or pretty much anything vehicle related for that matter.
