Thanks, man.......i'll give it a try......drives me nuts. I'm even considering just completely removing them at this point becasue they annoy me so much. But I'll try to relocate them first.

Btw, your build thread is coming along nicely. Did you ever say what tires you're running? Are they the ones that came on it or did you upgrade when you lifted it?

They are Falken All-Terrains. They were on when I got it, but they only have 8-10k on them (I forget), so they are sticking around for a while. Stock 265/70. I don't mind them - they have a nice tread pattern, they're decently quiet on road and they did well on various surfaces off road.

Sorry It's been so long since I've checked this thread and for the delayed response.

Here is a link to how to refinish the cowl piece (http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/111794-restoring-your-weathered-cowl-piece.html), which in turn tells how to get the wipers off. I just took the wipers off, cleaned them with soap and water, removed the rubber wiper part and spray painted with black satin rustoleum. I didnt get very precise with it since the wipers were already pretty decent.

For the grill I just removed it, unscrewed the Toyota emblem from the back, cleaned grill with soap and water, then used 3-4 coeats black plasti-dip and 2 clear plasti-dip to finish it.Then screwed emblem back on and reattached grill. Very easy to do. I'll eventually do a real paint job with good quality paint, but the plasti-dip has held up very well so far. I'm not in any hurry to redo it.

Thanks a lot, Doug (or is it Christian?). I got the coils through the area Toyota dealer Parts website (Toyota Part Sales of Toyota of Dallas). I ordered online and picked them up at the dealership. They do ship all over the country, but I'm sure you're local dealership could get them for you. I think i paid around $400 for all 4 coils.

Awesome build! I'm thinking of putting the highlander coils on my '01 Sport and I'm lovin' the way yours looks! Interested to know how the sound system turned out as well, as I'm trying to figure out how to fit an amp and subwoofer somewhere.
