Meet and Greet-Salem, Or. TeardropsNW Sat. Nov 21st

Bright side is, you won't have to move too much to hold that burger and beer!

That's part of the problem. One no drinking (been 9 weeks sober now, one way to cut it out), second thing is that anytime I walk or move more than 600-1000 steps it puts my body into such a wreck that I spend days almost a week (before doing it again...) to myself. I just need to reach my 600-1000 steps and say, Nope I'm DONE!! Versus what I do is ohh, i'm okay.

But it looks sweet, i just sent the link to my dad who did about 75% of oregon offroading a few weeks ago. 10 days out exploring, he loved it but he needs a softer bed so I pointed him to your wonderful trailer.

I will say I'm going to do whatever I can to at least get one snow wheeling trip in before the 4runner..wanders off. I'll keep you posted but from past experience Ican usually find snow late Nov/Dec =)

need more pics

i would like to see more pics of your tear drop, i have been considering something for the 4runner to avoid getting a truck. looking at pop ups and tear drops mostly.

i saw that you will be camping so im assuming that you will bring it to the event, i hope you don't mind a couple tire kickers.

The intention of having this event at TeardropsNW is to help with any interested parties. I would bring it with me whether I was camping or not (which it's starting to look less likely unfortunately). Tire kicking is encouraged and they will have a several of their models at the event since it is being held at their "sales" location.

Like yourself, I was originally looking at pop ups, travel trailers, a-frames, etc. But the production and quality that go with mass produced units left much to be desired. There's a reason quality built teardrops get the price they are demanding. I did a lot of research in the mass produced units and unless you just plan on paved roads and maybe a forest service road or two, I wouldn't go that route. There are numerous threads in other forums regarding the interior falling apart, screws working loose, and leaking roofs because they can't handle consistent washboard roads. Then, trying to find manufacturers that use boxed tube for frames was even more daunting. I'll have plenty of research stories to share with everyone at the event.

I could bring my mass-produced rolling bachelor pad on wheels lol It could hold close to 3 tear drops, but it's in California and I will be in the sandbox by then. Looks like fun. Side note: do they rent any tear drops out? My parents are considering one but want to rent one first, any info in that area would be helpful. Thanks brother.

There are a few companies that rent teardrops out. I did a little research on that but they are few and far between. There is a discussion of a teardrop rental place possibly opening up here in the PNW but that won't happen for awhile, I'm sure.

1st post updated with list of attendees. I will keep updated that as people respond. Looks like a great turnout so far!

Count my wife and me as a "maybe". Would love to come down meet some local forum members, as well as check out Teardrop's trailers. I've seen a few of these and really wanted to get a closer look! Only potential problem is that family will be arriving soon for Thanksgiving. Will update as I know more.

Just a friendly 10 days away bumpety bump. Can any of our "maybes" confirm or regret for the event?

Gotta get TeardropsNW a good list by this weekend to make sure we have enough food and beverages.

Hi Ducmonsta, I'm sorry, but we're going to have to sit this one out. Was really hoping to take a look at these trailers, but with holidays approaching, we're pretty loaded up commitment-wise through the rest of the year. Keep us on the list for future meet and greets though, we'd love to come to others and meet some forum folks! Thank you for putting this one together and the invite!

Ben at TeardropsNW also wanted to mention "Recon 2.0" will be on display and will have special pricing for T4R members only. Assuming it doesn't sell before next weekend.

List of attendees is updated as of today. I appreciate everyone keeping me updated through here or pm.

And.....It also looks like we'll be getting a little reprieve from the rain!

I'm coming from the Vancouver area. RiDE and LawnDart mentioned something about a caravan for those of you in the PDX area. I'm open for suggestions on where to meet before the "meet".

Let me know who else from PDX wants to convoy down, but I'm open for some place to rally up before we head down, maybe lunch before we head south?
