Merry Christmas, truck wont start, I think alarm is triggered. HELP!

The horns were blarring alarm is sounding none of the electrical systems work besides headlights. The dash is lit up like a Christmas tree and the little Security light on the center console that's never been on is now on. When attemting to start there is nothing, no clicks nadda. Battery is new and has plenty of juice to operate the winch. Is there a way to bypass the security system? Need help ASAP. Thanks again

Maybe disconnect the battery for a few minutes and see if that clears the problem?? That's what I would try first...

When that happens in mine, I turn the key on and off twice and it resets it...something with my key fob is bad that causes it. Do you have the factory security system? I have the manual for that here with me...

Nevermind, I just read thru the manual and it doesn't have instructions for bypass, only operation and remote programming...sorry!

Should have explained more. The noise and lights and all start as soon as the fuse box wire is attached to the + battery, and the key being inserted and turned to any position doesn't change anything. The turn signals, brake, and headlights all work fine.

I think it's an aftermarket alarm. There's a small loud speaker mounted to the fire wall right behind the intake manifold. Factory?

I'm gonna go out there and say that's not factory...I know its not there in my truck. Any chance of finding where it connects to the battery or a fuse?

This happened to me before. Look up under the dash by where you put your left foot. I guess it's the dummy pedal. Anyways there's a black box up under there that's about oh 4x4x2". Disconnect that box and you should be good. In my case, the security system was tripped and I couldn't get it to reset. That black box runs the security system and when it's out it's you have no security. I unplugged mine and took it out. I was told I have to take it to the dealer to reprogram

I would remove the panel below the steering column and then the air duct is held in with one screw. Try to locate the brain for the aftermarket system. If you can see the make and model, look up online for the instructions and rip everything out that you can.

Got it started! Took out all fuses and relays, cleaned them and reinstalled them one by one. Found that it's the dome/interior lighting fuse that gives the alarm power. So I left it out and it started right up. Got a new problem now for another thread, once started the starter will not disengage.
